These factor in at the end of the game with extra points going to the player with the most in each category. Through events on the board, you are able to earn points for knowledge, happiness, and wealth. Mini-games would’ve really helped break up the monotony of the game. As we walk into the bustling Southern European city for the first time, clearly inspired by Athens. There are in-game competitions that result in one of the players winning money (dance competitions, bowling tournaments, etc.), but these are settled by a mere spin of the game wheel and whoever spins the highest wins. Life is Elysium Polly’s hometown of Atina like Polly herself is defined by its contrasts. There are different career and house choices depending on the board, but they’re ultimately nothing more than a change in aesthetic. The boards are all essentially set up the same way. And once again, while these are some neat and fun options, they don’t really change the game. A season pass promises 8 more boards released over the next year and a half. There are 3 different boards to choose from your typical game board, a Fairytale Land board, and a spooky Haunted Hills board. While these are some neat and fun options, they don’t really do a lot to change up the game at all. You can also opt-out of having kids and adopt a pet instead. Also, you can choose to marry the same sex or even a non-binary lifemate, which I think is a wonderful inclusion. First off, there are new careers that reflect more modern times. Start by graduating college, then pick a career, get married, buy a house, have kids, and finally, retire. Developer Marmalade Game Studio has brought The Game of Life 2 to the Nintendo Switch. The game environment requires little thought process, allowing even a very tired parent to participate. If you’re familiar with the board game, you’ll have no problem jumping into this digital version. The game was fun, interactive, and fairly quick. Punk loved the first game and I figured it would be something nice to play together. But alas, I decided to give The Game of Life 2 a try because it seemed like it might be a fun break in my normal gaming routine. I’ll always take Trivial Pursuit over something like Monopoly. Pikmin 1 is still a joyous, playful, cute and colourful adventure to undertake and, although this HD remaster isn't quite up to the standards we'd expect from the Big N and nowhere near the level. I’m more into games that require more skill than luck. ![]()
